Mother and father in law

Ok so my sister in law n I had babies 7 months apart and before she had the baby my MIL hardly ever kept my daughter when I worked. (I only work 1 shift during the week n then on weekends) but now that my SIL is back to work she keeps the baby Monday threw Friday. She made the comment one day that once my daughter is up n walking she will keep both of them but till then it's to much for her. Well yesterday it was snowing n I had to drive 45 mins to my on appointment and take both my kids with me and then my FIL made the comment about me putting the kids in the road when it was shitty out. My husband didn't stick up for me n I just let it go n when I vented to my husband he told me it's not a big deal. Just want some insight on someone that's not from the family!!!
