I had my first ultrasound yesterday at 13 weeks and it was so overwhelmingly joyful to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. Heartbeat was at a strong 170bpm and nuchal measurement at 1.6. Our peanut made little shy movements and was hiding her face most of the time (a little cam shy, took after his dad, perhaps 😁).It took a while to get a good profile shot so tech had asked me to lift my butt from the bed and shake my hips and belly to make the baby wiggle a little more. Made me and the hubby laugh in between tears of joy. :-) I think baby got hubby's nose :)
