Circumcision disaster!
My son is now shy of 3 weeks old. We had his circumcision scheduled yesterday. I didn't want to watch so baby daddy said that he would stay in there. With in two minutes of leaving the room, my son was crying a different cry. It seemed like forever and I didn't want to go in there upset figuring he was just scared and that baby daddy had him. The doctor comes out explaining that he's done he's bleeding a lot and we need to stay to see if he clots. Since he was crying the blood kept coming. The doctor advised me that everything was okay. I went into the room and dad was upset he said that was traumatic for him and Lash. He mentioned he didn't think that the numbing stuff was all the way yet before the dr started and our son was scooting across the table like he could feel every step of the circumcision. I asked the dr to look again and get the bleeding to stop another way as he is starting to look pale and he started to calm down but not in a good way. He wouldn't stop bleeding and two urologist came in looking at his penis. They tried to burn the vein where he wouldn't stop bleeding and that didn't work. We had to go th the ER at that point and my son had to then go into emergency surgery to stitch up his penis. Went to the front, and the clerk said he wasn't approved by insurance so he would have to wait. I was about to yell, when dad did very well and explained our son is losing and has already lost a lot of blood, doesn't matter about insurance this has to be done now! The lady finally called a nurse and they got us right in. Risks of him being so new into this world, of course had us very upset about the involvement of breathing tubes and being put under. The team was awesome and surgery went well. He has stitches due to the emergency but he's okay. I had hesitation of doing this, and my worst fear came out of it. My little boy is okay though! The dad was so great and supportive! In the end he is in our arms and alive.
