Brushing teeth?

Maybe it doesn't belong here but..... I cannot get my 2.5 year old to brush his teeth!!! He used to here and there but now I can't even get near him. I did all these little tips and tricks, but it just gets worse. Any ideas for me?

My 3 year old daughter was the same I bought her an electric hello kitty toothbrush, hello kitty toothpaste, kids mouthwash that changes colors, and downloaded an app on my phone for kids that encourages brushing teeth. It's through Disney now I don't have as many problems. She also loves to mimick everything I do so when I brush my teeth I always make it a big deal afterward about how clean and white my teeth look so she wants to be just like mom

I had this problem with my first daughter and then I told her about "tooth buggies". I explained that tooth buggies will come and eat her teeth at night if she didn't brush them. I also explained how painful it would be if enough tooth buggies came along and ate her teeth. It worked and it is not like it isn't the truth.

Have you tried the finger tooth brushes?  They are really for your finger so you can brush your infants guns but they could work for him kids love to stick their finger in their mouths!  Also if you like oils you can get a kids safe toothpaste made by young living and it has thieves I'm it.  It gives kind of a cinnamon taste you can get it on line for $12.99.   I know it seems expensive but it's very little you use and it's safe with no harsh chemicals like most tooth pastes have! 😕

The Disney app worked for my daughter. She use to love brushing when she was one and then all of a sudden it was a fight. I downloaded the app and it did the magic along with an electric toothbrush. So much nicer then having to fit her and feel like I was hurting her. 😊

Give him a toothbrush to play with, let him see you brushing your teeth, and when he gets used to the idea of it make a routine of brushing his teeth every morning and night.

I have this problem but with my 19 month old. I literally have to hold him down to brush them. But his teeth health is more important then his temper lol. My 3.5 yr old is a great teeth brusher but I know he got even more excited about it when he got a light up starwars light savor tooth brush from the super market. You might just have to be forceful and once he sees that your not giving up maybe he will get over it
