Would you ever use Sex selection for your baby?

There are certain circumstances that make sex selection a good idea like genetic medical conditions that only get passed on to either boys or girls. But if given the choice for everyone would you choose the sex of you baby? Or are you happy to have whatever you have? My partner says he would like a girl but he wouldn't be upset if we had a boy as we just want a baby now.

No. I think that a lot of the magic of having a baby is the anticipation to find out what sex it is. This is real life, not the Sims.

Well. Even if your child is born a girl they could be Transgender. Would you support them still? They could be born a girl and want to be a boy. (or vise versa) I'm not judging at all. It's just a genuine question seeing I am trans and my parents don't really support me much. (Im FtM Trans)

My first pregnancy I never found out until she was stillborn. I cannot wait to get pregnant again and wait 40 weeks to see what I am blessed with!

I will buy unisex and gender biased clothing. I will dress them in everything, green, pink, teal, rainbow! When they get older they may get embarrassed, or they may become transgender like another girl had mentioned. And if they did I am sure they would like seeing them dressed up in both genders. It will make sorting out the baby photos a little complicated in 30 years, but oh well! :)

I want a family of 3 or more children, so I feel that I will be blessed with both eventually.

There's a clinic I was asked to work in as a sales rep and gender selection for IVF "customers" was their selling point. 
I turned down the job there's no way I could have done that

Your question is somewhat misleading i think. the question suggests that it is possible to decide what sex to make the embryo in, whereas in reality the practice is to determine the sex of the fetus and then abort the undesired ones. Considering how hard it is to conceive (as all of us TTC know!) and carry the pregnancy to full term, i personally feel this is really disrespectful to the process of creating life, not to mention the toll it takes on the mother and how it reinforces gender inequality...
This practice was so rampent in China, it has led to a shocking gender imbalance of 115.88 boys to 100 girls newborns in 2014. The Chinese government has made non medical fetus gender tests illegal in 2014, and in the same year they caught 5000 violations! Base on the birth rate you can calculate the approx number of aborted fetuses that year, but I wont because I cant bear to think of that.
I know you meant it as a theoretical question but it is a very real issue and there is a whole criminal industry out there making money out of this. Thats why i want to share the facts and numbers here.
