Should your baby shower theme match your nursery theme?

I wanted a pink and gold baby shower themed but my mother doesn't think we should do that because the nursery is gray and pink. Just wanted others thoughts.

Mine will match, but thats just because i like my theme so much! The nursery is 1920s vintage glam. Baby shower theme will be the same. Do what makes you happy!

I don't think people buy you presents in accordance to your shower theme. If this why she thinks that maybe try to slip your nursery theme into the invitation somehow.

According to my mother yes. Me I don't think it matters.. She made me get matching invites so people would know what my room theme was.. Cause ya know that's where I'd look to find out someone's theme is on their invites.. Lol love my mom

In my opinion it really doesn't matter but I would make sure everyone knew my nursery theme in case they got something for it so it'd match :)
