Has anyone else had a mother in law that babies you? When I was pregnant she wouldn't let me do anything and would keep asking if there was anything she could do or if I was comfortable. Now that I have the baby it hasn't gotten any better. He is 16 months now. When I go to her house for dinner or something she is acting like I cant mother, enjoy myself, and take care of my self. While I am getting my son set up in his high chair she seems to try and push me to go through the line first. It seems as though she thinks I need to hurry up and eat while my son is content. But I don't need to. My son is good when it comes to that. I don't know how to deal with it and it makes me feel very uncomfortable when I go over there. I know how to take care of my son and enjoy myself at the same time. The same thing happens when we go to other peoples houses for events. She like hovers over me trying to be there when I need something but I never do. I just want to relax but I cant because she wont leave me alone.

Has anyone else had this issue and how did you deal with it?
