I have to say - it completely depends. My husband and I have been together for 7 years, married for 3.

I have dated women since I was old enough to know that's what I was interested in. Never thought twice about men. My husband was the first, last and only for me. Being with a man, with no experience as to how relationships with them work (and trust me ... it really is apples to oranges different) is really fucking hard.

About a year into our relationship, I worked 3 jobs and put myself through college. During this time, I also supported my husband while he pursued his college career. We became distant. I slept, tops, 4 hours a night. Worked myself to death and crammed study time in any chance I could. He cheated on me. And it ruined everything in me. First time for me, never been cheated on. I knew I didn't want anything else to do with him, and that it was over.

I have never, in my life, been the kind of girl that people fight for. Fight to stay with. He did. We went to therapy, he worked his fucking ass off to make himself be the man I needed. We struggled, every day. We made sacrifices, we fought and in the end, after everything ... I forgave him. We both made huge, horrible mistakes, and we grew from that.

I hate when people tell me, that people who cheat aren't worth it... that they'll just do it again. Because sometimes - they are SO FUCKING WORTH IT that it hurts. So we made it work. We took it slow, we have no secrets, and I mean that with complete and utter sincerity (not false hope, or stupidity). We made it work because it's what WE wanted. And I applaud anyone who has the guts to stay and make things work - but I also understand why others need to walk away. SITUATIONS DEPEND ON THE PEOPLE AND THE CIRCUMSTANCES AT HAND. That's it. Sorry for the rant.

It depends and no it's not because I don't have any self respect . I took vows  and mistakes may be made, no one is perfect *gasp* shocker i know! I would do everything i possibly can to save my marriage before divorce is on the table.

Maybe when you're not married and don't have as much invested then it's easy to just walk away.

Pleaaaaasseee do not take them back. It's a painful continuous cycle. If he didn't respect your love, your heart, your body, you as a woman then why will he later. It hurts so damn much but you have to choose yourself. You will always have your back, love yourself. You are your #1. Love love love love❤️

It depends. I used to think not a snowballs chance in hell, and sometimes that feeling still rises up in me. But after 6 years with my husband and 2 kids (one in utero) I'm not sure I could just walk away like that. But, it depends. It depends on why he cheated, for how long, and if he's truly sorry. And even if all the right cards were at play (not that I know what they are) I'm not sure I'm strong enough to forgive him for that. I like to think I could, I've forgiven people for a lot worse, but until I'm in that situation (God forbid) I just don't know. 
However if like to add that I really dislike it when people say "no
I have self respect" Great. That's awesome. Now try having some respect for other people. Not everyone who stays with someone who's cheated is lacking self respect like that prideful statement implies.

I've been cheated on in almost every relationship I've been in. And I always take them back. Because I'm a sucker. And then they leave me anyway. Then my husband came along and treated me so well, and I realized I don't have to put up with that shit, I deserve better. So yeah, I've taken cheaters back, but it totally sucks.

If I was married yes. Just a boyfriend it depends. Marriage is for life. You find a way to move on and let go of the past. Assuming he wasn't a repeat offender.
