Help?

So I recently got off the pill and then 3 days later I started to bleed thick dark heavy blood. Is this normal? I ended my period a week ago.

Anytime I strayed from taking the pill on time everyday, I would immediately get my period a few days later. Sometimes after only a week of not having or getting it early. I personally think it's just your body trying to figure out its natural cycle. The pill and other forms of birth control regulate it and make it come and go the same time every month. I think it's just your body getting used to not having the help of the pill. I could be wrong though. I've been on and off the pill for the last 4 years. I've very forgetful and always screwed it up so this has happened to me a few times.
