My period was heavy one day the the rest is was very light but not spotting and I took a pregnancy test it was negative this is my second period since I had sex my first one was normal heavy and very bad cramps and alot of blood clots. What is it?

My periods are weird like that (when I have them, not now bc pregnant) because my hormone levels fluctuate terribly. I go from one day of super intense bleeding to the next day it's very light and lasts another six days, some days it's full intensity all seven days, some days barely anything. That could be something like this?
