Is home birth the right thing to do?

I am thinking about having a home birth is this the right thing to do?

I can't imagine giving birth any other way! Birthing in hospitals is a relatively new thing. Our bodies where built to give birth! I honestly believe doctors in hospitals are more concerned about how much money they are going to make than the health of the mother and child. I've heard so many stories from friends about having to get an emergency c-section for something that is completely normal. I think that doctors prey on parents depending on the knowledge of their doctor to provide them with the best care and they just end up cashing in at the end and the moms end up with a huge scar and weeks of recovery. If you do go with a doctor/hospital ask them what their c-section rate is. In my area the average is over 80%! Mind blowing! ( Both my sister and I were born at home and I have 2 nieces there were born at home none of us had any complications)

There was a study that came outDecember 31st in the New England Medical Journal that showed neonatal mortality to be twice as high in home births. I'd advise a birthing center where they have the best medical treatment in case of a worst case scenario, but where you can still have a natural birth with a midwife in a comfortable environment.

My mums a home birth midwife. I think it's amazing! And out of the hundreds of baby's she has delivered not a single one has had to go to hospital or had any complications this includes the twin births and breach births so I really beleive it's completely safe. I so desperately wanted a home birth but I'm not sure I can this pregnancy 😞

It was right for me! I loved being home and curling into my warm bed right after.
