I live on a dead end road in a pretty populated suburb. I've been here for 21 years and no accidents have happened on the street in this time besides a mom rear ending her other car in her own driveway. We already had a sign from the city place about children x-ting but one of the neighbors literally took it up cement base and all and put a fake "kids at play 5mph" sign up. The speed limit on this road is 30 and it's a short street. This way done by the neighbors who are well known for letting their kids play in the road who are 15 and 10 years old. Never really been a problem they are smart enough to move, but the parents really think people should slow to a crawl for they're fake sign tied to a fence post. Were a tight community and no one else lets their kids play in the streets. They literally came to someones door and bashed them for going the actual speed limit, which all of us still are. Duh. I dont wanna cause no scene but that was extreme. I want the sign gone and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to remove the city placed signs anyway.
