27 weeks - are you supposed to feel your baby move all the time?

My next OB appointment isn't until Monday, but I'm just wondering are you supposed to feel your baby move ALL the time?

I've seen some people on here comment they feel their babies move constantly throughout the day but for me I only feel her move during certain points of the day-  I know her pattern of movement. But I feel worried that I don't feel her move all the time.

Every babys different my little man has no pattern and does what he likes, he has active days and lazy days as longs you feel something even flutters don't worry some days i feel barely nothing then i go a bed n he starts moving he also likes early mornings u might even be asleep when baby decidea to move.

Your baby sleep  14 to 16 hr a day . .. when your  the most  active  it's likely  your baby  is sleeping .

I just got back from my 30 week appointment today, and my doctor has me checking fetal movement twice a day. What she said to do is  mark down the time I start monitoring, and wait until I feel six movements (kicks, rolls, etc) and it shouldn't take more than two hours. 
If there's less than 6 moves in 2 hours, she said to call right away (but I'm also high risk due to bmi and slightly elevated blood pressure)
I've been monitoring for a few weeks already, and I usually start when I feel my baby move, and it takes less than 10 minutes before I feel the 6.

If you know her pattern, you're fine! Does she move like ALL OVER? I'm 28+3 and he literally kicked (or pushed I can't tell the difference) my upper abdomen into my right boob then was swimming around my lower left hip a few hours later. The stretches make me feel like he's hiding a brother/sister in there! I definitely don't feel him all of the time and days where he grows more he moves less.

I feel my baby constantly during the day. Only time I don't is when I'm sleeping. It's like she never sleeps. But my Dr told me definitely do not go passed 2 days of feeling nothing. He said if I get concerned even after 12 hours to call him. He said it's mandatory I feel her throughout the day.

Nope. Babies at this point have established sleep/wake cycles. As long as there is some movement during expected times and nothing out of the ordinary, I wouldn't worry.

It doesn't have to be all of the time but since you know her schedule if you don't feel her move like she normally does I would go to the dr.  I say this because my dr scared me my last appointment and said a woman lost hers after not feeling the baby for 2 days and she told me if I don't think the baby is moving as much as he should I should come in for a checkup..always better to be safe than sorry! (:

No it does not have to be all the time. My daughter moves mostly in the morning, after lunch, and when I lay down at night. Sometimes I feel rolls randomly through the day. Babies in the womb sleep about 12-14 hours a day.
