When to schedule first ob/gyn

When did everyone schedule their first dr appointment? Im currently 5 weeks and 2days. Was told I should wait a little longer to schedule an appointment, like around 12 weeks. What does everyone else think? Im curious to know.

I call as soon as I find out - they won't schedule it until 8-10 weeks usually, but the longer you wait, the less appt's they have open to choose from.

I called ASAP & got one scheduled a couple days later. People told me not to go in that early but I'm glad I did because it was relieving to hear the OB confirm my pregnancy & give me an estimated due date!

My area is 10-12 weeks.  My appt is set  for 12w2days

I went to my regular family doctor to confirm pregnancy and then they had the nurse contact me to set up with my OB. And they scheduled it for around ten weeks. It all depends really.

I made the appt I got my bfp just because they could be busy and not be able to get u in .. However they still make u wait until your between 8-12 weeks here in Texas

Because of a recent miscarriage, I already went to my OB.  But normally they don't see you till 12 weeks in my area.
