Looking for supplements/advice that could help!
Hi ladies! My doctor suspects that I have PCOS due to bloodwork and symptoms. I am looking for any vitamins, supplements, diets, excercise, medications, natural remedies, etc. that could help me conceive. Here's some info regarding my cycles and condition:
--My bloodwork showed that I did not ovulate and have low progesterone levels. Testosterone was fine. And bloodwork leading up to ovulation was normal.
--I have a 4-5 day period every month with cycles ranging from 26-34ish days, typically around 30.
--I get a dark Positive line on my OPKs. Every month around CD 17-20 although I believe some or many of these are false positives.
--I am on cycle #20 TTC, having one chemical pregnancy exactly a year ago so I know I ovulate at least sometimes.
--I have just been prescribed clomid 50mg but nothing else to supplement it. I didn't know if my doc should have prescribed progesterone cream or anything else. Do most women with PCOS have low progesterone?
--HSG showed that my left tube is open and right tube is blocked, but doc said its not that big of a deal because the left tube can easily pick up my right egg if released.
--I had a vaginal ultrasound a few months ago which showed no cysts but doc said I might not have had any that cycle.
--Since I've been TTC, I've only noticed two cycles where I felt like a cyst ruptured with sharp pain in ovary lasting about half an hour each time
--I sometimes get ovulation pains (pinching/stabbing) but only on left ovary.
--I live in AK and there are no RE's in the entire state so I am just going to women's health on base. It's frustrating because it's like pulling teeth trying to get anything done and I am the one asking all the questions, calling for my results, and scheduling follow ups versus the doctors suggesting follow ups. I figured a fertility doctor would ask me a bunch of questions but no!
Any advice or response to anything above would be appreciated! I've heard of vitex but I read that you shouldn't take it with fertility drugs which I will probably start clomid next cycle. Thanks!
