Gas before period, could it be a very early pregnancy sign?

My period is due March 8, my hubby and I are ttc. I have been experiencing more gas than normal and it started Thursday Feb 25. I'm usually gassy and bloaty a few days before period, but not like this and it's definitely a longer time frame away until my period. Any thoughts?

When you become pregnant, your progesterone levels naturally rise causing your muscles to relax. This includes your intestinal muscles. My doctor explained to me that this causes digestion to slow. One undesirable side effect: GAS, and lots of it! This is actually one of the first recognizable pregnancy signs! Before I got my BFP I started to suddenly belch, uncontrollably, up to 10 times an hour. I'm so happy that stopped, but it was definitely a sign for me! I've never heard of excess gas being a sign of pregnancy, unless you're in your 2nd/3rd trimester when the baby pushes on everything. It could be what you're eating, drinking or doing for exercise.
