Waters started to leak at 33+6 called maternity for advice, they advised me to go straight in for review as it was known as scrom on being assessed was told I'd be going home! Confused but relived as don't like hospital lol. But no they decided to keep me in for observations and was going to give me 2 doses of steroids to help mature his lungs, first dose was qiven at quarter to 12 was told not in labour so hubby and mum head home after ensuring I have all I need ( hubby already went home and got me my things I'd forgotten) he text me to say goodnight at 02:30 that he was home! I tried to sleep but was anxious and very tearful and a dull ache in my abdomen, so requested paracetamol midwife advised me to breath through and she would get me some! I was on a monitor and by 3am the midwife was shocked as I was in labour and advised me to call hubby back (bless him) but he came back just in time as I was being moved to labour ward. My mum was with him too toying with what pain relief to have I was adamant I didn't want anything midwife said that I wasn't coping (baby was back to back) so decided to have epidural as I didn't want to be put out if anything needed to be done we were given paper work to read through poor hubby was reading it aloud but didn't have time lol my miracle was nearly here 3 big contractions and he came rushing out midwife just managed to get her gloves on 😊 all together labour was 1 hour 51 minutes and he weighs 5lb 2 oz and is perfect 😍💙 we are being monitored but hope to be home soon x x
