Severe social anxiety; how do I get a job?!

I have severe social anxiety and finding a job I'm comfortable with is so difficult, what should I do?

My social anxiety is awwwwwfulllllll. You pretty much just have to force yourself into it. It sucks. But once you get over the interview part and actually start a job it surprisingly gets easier. The only had part is quitting that job and going to another. It just starts allll over again. 🙄

It's hard to do, but the best way to help the feeling is to expose yourself to it. You have to try to talk to people and carry on a conversation. Believe me, I have severe social anxiety - mostly in the way you are talking about. I'm anxious to death at school/work places... To the point where I avoid social situations sometimes. It's not a good habit to get into though. You have to push through it. It might help if you just think that you are not the only person struggling with this. Social anxiety isn't too uncommon.

I suffer with the same problem but I've learned to fight my fear of interaction by just going for it. I'm an associate at bed bath and beyond and talk to tones of people everyday and it has gotten easier but by the end of the day I tend to lock myself in the room lol
