Exclusively pumping??

Question

Are any of you mommies goin to only pump & put it in a bottle for baby? If so, what's your routine? How do you ensure that you'll have enough for the next feeding? What about when baby goes to visit family members? How much would you pump & do you just freeze it and take the frozen bags to wherever the baby is going? What about when you're in public?

I'd like to know this as well. I want the benefits of breast milk for my baby but honestly the idea of breastfeeding makes me uncomfortable. Plus my husband wants to help as much as possible and it would be great to have more than one person doing the feeding.

Im a ftm to be. My baby is due in July. I plan on exclusively breastfeeding so my routine will hopefully  go something like this: pump while i am doing chores or online homework. Basically any free time and at night just let the baby latch on cause its more convenient.

To make pumping work better, learn manual expression and do that while you pump. Also, try to relax and think of baby. If you can, have baby on your chest while you pump, and spend as much time as you can skin to skin with baby. If you can't have baby nearby when you pump have something baby has worn to smell. It sounds silly, but letdown is controlled by oxytocin and that's a hormone that's affected pretty strongly by smell.

I only pumped with my first baby. I had a ton of milk tho. I pumped every two hours. I got like 3 oz out of each breast so if you pump religiously you will start to stock pile and produce more milk. Make sure you set up a system to your liking to catalog your frozen milk. Go on p interest and get some ideas. Good luck! !
