Emotional wife

My husband and I will be married for a year in May. He's been married twice before. His previous wife was his longest relationship. She still stays in contact with his family. She had a child before they got married but he said he seen that child as his own which is why it took him so long to divorce her which is what she wanted. Well my main concern is that he still misses their relationship and has feelings for her. It just bothers me that she still has contact with his family. I'm not sure why it does but it does. And on top of that I feel bad that I haven't been able to give him a child that he desperately wants. I just feel as if I can't compete with his ex wife. Any suggestions on how to get past my feelings on this situation and move on with my life and be happy in my marriage?
