IUD reviews!?

BF and contemplating using this form of birth control. Makes me kinda nervous to stick a foreign object  inside of me, though! Any reviews or experiences with it?

I LOVED my Mirena. I had it for two years and got pregnant the first cycle after removal. The first few months suck because you spot for awhile, but it's sooooo worth it. It lightened up my super heavy, too!

I got the skyla, which is similar to Mirena. But it's smaller and only lasts for 3 years instead of 5. It's meant for women who've never had kids and have a smaller cervix.

I had already had a baby when I got mine, but I knew I wanted another one before 5 years!

I don't remember insertion hurting at all. I had spotting for the first month or so, but after that NO PERIODS!

I got it removed after 1.5 years and got pregnant after 2 cycles.

I thought I loved it after a year and a half then one day I started having bad cramps and called dr they sent me in for ultrasound and it showed my body was trying to expel it an it was I bedding into my uterus so I had it taken out immediately. So knowing that I would never do that again!

I had the paragaurd iud for 2 1/2 years and it caused heavier periods but I liked that it doesn't have hormones. I got pregnant 3 months after having it out. It didn't hurt at all having it in and I removed it myself

I had a great experience with it. Used it for about three and a half years with no complications (or babies!). Insertion was painful for about 20 seconds, but removal was way easier and didn't hurt at all. I don't believe I had any side effects and it was amazing being protected from pregnancy without having to do anything!
