How are you giving birth?

Let's hear thoughts on hospital vs home vs birthing center etc. I always thought is give birth (my first baby) in a hospital but now I'm considering other options. Love to hear thoughts and experiences!!! 😍💕👶🏻

In a hospital. Both me and my husband are in the healthcare field and know all to well the different complications that can quickly arise.

Birthing center all the way! I can't imagine it any other way. I'll be giving birth at the same place I was born! 🤗 Watch The Business of Being Born on Netflix. It's amazing and truly eye opening!

In a hospital.  I'm too anxious about issues that might arise - I want to make sure that I and the baby have the best care possible from the onset.

I've heard even at birthing centers or home births with a midwife,  if there are complications,  they take you to a hospital. Why add the additional travel/stress?

We will be having a hospital birth with the midwives like my first. It's a nice compromise in my opinion. More personal care in a safe environment that can respond to an emergency if needed.

I would love to do a home birth, but the nearest hospital has a terrible reputation. This is my 2nd. I went to a hospital with my first. It was a total circus. I was in labor for 2 and half days, they unnecessarily induced me, almost took me back for a c-section before realizing they forgot to drain my cath. for a whole day. On top of that my ob shaking her head in disgust, repeating over and over "she's not doing it right" regarding how I was pushing. And then she snapped, turn of the epidural. On top of that, she gave me stitches without numbing me or giving pain meds. The whole time I'm insisting "I can feel that! " her response " you're just thinking about it" Now I know I can totally do this on my own with the right support. Our bodies are made for this. Everyone has their own story but If you live close to a good hospital and aren't high risk I say go for the home birth.

I would love to have my baby naturally, in a birthing pool. However, I don't think that's an affordable option in my area. So, I'll be happy as long as I can have a safe, healthy delivery. =)

Delivering at a hospital as I'm high risk. I did it last time though and I felt like I had a good experience compared to some of the horror stories I hear elsewhere

We are delivering in a hospital, but using a midwife. It's a very baby friendly hospital, and the office I go to has OBs and midwives who work together fantastically, so if I do have a medically need arise during labor, there won't be any animosity between my midwife and the OB who is called in. I felt it was the best of both worlds! For us at least!
