So I have not been "out" in probably 3 years. My son is 2 and his father (my BF) work a ton so we never get to get out. Plus we both have stressful jobs so at the end of the day, we just want to relax. Now I have a few friends who are coming to town and want to go out and drink. And by drink, I don't mean just a few. I have a hard time only having a few. Is it wrong or selfish of me to go out with them and my BF? And leave my son behind with grandma? I feel so guilty doing it but I never do anything. I need a night out terribly but hate to leave my son to drink.

Btw, I'm 27 as my SO is 31. Both professionals, own a home, cars.... So we can afford a night out lol

Your son is very very important. But you need adult time too, or you will go insane. Don't feel guilty about leaving your baby for a couple of hours.

The best thing you can do for your child is sometimes have a night without them.

Go out. Drink. Have some fun.

One night at grandma's will be a blast for the little one and one night out will do you a world of good.

My parents and my husbands mom are very active in our daughters life. They each get her for one weekend each month. I think every parent deserves a break every once in a while.

Your son will probably be glad that he's allowed to stay with his grandma.... Go out - have 1 night just fun and drink some alkohol if you want. Nothing wrong with it.

You sound just like me!! I haven't been out in 3 years... I tried once, but started bawling at the bar cause I missed my baby. I still feel guilty and cannot bring myself to go out with friends.

I would go out now that you have a chance but that's easier said than done ;)
