Completely Unexpected
My husband and I have been trying for around a year to get pregnant, and it was seemingly impossible as I only had four periods within that year. There was one point where I skipped three months. So I ended up having to go to my OBGYN to figure out what was going on with my body and discussed tests to see what's wrong. My first ultrasound ended up showing nothing at all: just a big, black void. No cysts, no tumors, nothing unusual. So after reviewing my ultrasound results, my OBGYN told me to get another ultrasound to double-check, and also to get an MRI of my pituitary gland to make sure my hormones were fine. I had my second ultrasound and MRI scheduled for the same day so I can just get both of them out of the way. After about ten minutes of looking around, the ultrasound tech turned the screen to me and showed me something that looked like a little bean. She asked if I was pregnant and I told her I wasn't sure since I missed my period yet again for February but that a missed period for me is unfortunately usual. I asked her if I even should get the MRI in the event that I was pregnant to which she said she wasn't sure but sent me down to the MRI center downstairs. I asked the MRI employees about my situation and they exclaimed a clear and distinctive no to the MRI. So my husband and I rushed home so I could take a pregnancy test and lo and behold, for the first time ever, it said pregnant! Needless to say, I cried like a baby and although he won't admit it, he did too. :)
Little Bean, we can't wait to meet you!
