Labor or not?

Question

Lower pain in the back. Vaginia. Hips. To the abdomen. I've read everything on google I need advice. Should I go in or wait until my Drs appointment Monday ? Hot shower didn't help back pain. Water hasn't broke. I'm 38 weeks and ; days! Any help would be great. Thanks!

I would say you're in prelabor. Your body is getting ready for the real thing. You will start feeling contractions possibly in the same area that you would feel period cramps, or possibly in your back. For me they started out feeling exactly like period Cramps. Everyone is different though. When it starts to feel like the pain is coming in waves, call your doctor and let them know what's going on. Rule of thumb is 411… When your contractions are four minutes apart, One minute long each, for one hour, you need to get yourself to the hospital. Or if you feel like you're getting to a point where you can't walk, or if you feel like somethings wrong, or if you just feel like you need to be at a hospital… Just go. There is also no harm in calling your doctor now to let them know what's going on and see what they say.

Have you tried timing how long it lasts? Or how long in between? I would suggest getting a drink and putting your feet up. If it's false labor it will stop. I had back labor with two of mine and sitting on a birthing ball (yoga ball) helped me the most. Hopefully you can get comfortable and relax. Praying for you!

Your body is getting ready for active labor.... I was feeling like for two days until my appointment and my midwife check my cervix and I was dilated to 3 cm and she let me go home... I have 12 days to go.
