Hospital packing: diaper bag or luggage??

Question

Should i use a luggage for both baby and i? Or should i take my luggage plus the diaper bag? What have you mamas used?

I was only going to bring a suitcase but then someone told me to bring the diaper bag, even if it was mostly empty, because the hospital will most likely send you home with a bunch of freebies.

I packed a duffle for me and her diaper bag.

Duffle bag for my stuff & the baby diaper bag for all his belongings.

You really don't need much. The hospital usually provides everything for the baby except a going home outfit and for my self I just needed some toiletries, a nursing bra and a going home outfit. Plus a pillow and blanket. I just wore hospital stuff to much leakage to want to worry about ruining my clothes.

I have used a little suitcase. I figured that at that time, the last thing I want is to be dragging bags and suitcases around so I've packed everything in one.

I used a large diaper bag. I wore my comfy clothes going there and used the same going home to save space in the diaper bag. I guess it depends what u are bringing with u.
