Opposite sex friends

Nicole • 27 ❤️ Milwaukee born and raised 🐄🧀🍻
From reading all the posts about people not letting their SOs talk to people of the opposite sex I have started to feel very insecure about my friendships. There are guys I've been friends with for years and I'm always afraid I'm going to say something and I'm going to get a nasty girlfriend texting back freaking out. My boyfriend and I are completely fine with having friends of the opposite sex but not everyone is. Makes me feel bad when a close friends girlfriend texts me off his phone calling me a nasty slut or a home wrecker just for saying hello to my friend. Some of my guy friends have just let it happen and some will apologize later. I get your relationship is important to you and that's great but when someone has had a friend for a long time it's not fair to cut off that friendship because you're insecure. If I came off as overly flirty and you ask your boyfriend not to talk to me anymore or if he tells me to back off I absolutely will because it's not intentional. I just shouldn't have to feel like I'm going to be attacked by some girl who has never met me because I'm a girl so I obviously must want their man. I have my own and I'm happy but I would like to keep my friendships I've had for years. Sorry had to rant lol.
