Thank you Cards 1 Year Later??

We got married on 3/15/15. Next week will be our 1 year anniversary, but we haven't sent out our thank yous. I feel really bad about it but things have been super busy this past year  (I graduated college, we moved, job hunting, both started new jobs, both bought new cars, got a house, and are trying to settle into adult life). I have the envelopes and printed out wedding pics. We just starting using our wedding gifts (haven't had a space to use anything before we got our own place). I don't want our guests to think we're ungrateful, because we're far from it. Should I still send them out or forget it because it's so late?

I would definitely still send them out. People will appreciate that you took the time to think of them and thank them. If you want simply explain the delay in your thank you cards.  Life gets busy and your friends and family will understand that. :)

Someone once told me you have a year after the wedding to give a gift, so perhaps the same can apply to Thank Yous? I'm sure folks would appreciate a note-and will likely understand if you mention all the life changes this year-they are your friends and family after all!

We didn't send them either, we completely forgot but thanked people on the day and the next morning 😕 if I'm honest I would be way too embarrassed to give them out now, we will be married a year in July

I say definitely still send them!! Everyone has that one crazy aunt or friend who will mention it to your mom every time they see her until eternity if you don't 😂

The only thing I caution is make sure you know about any big updates after third much time has passed... My ex and I attended his friend's wedding early on the year we broke up... Took her like 9 months to send a thank you and it was kind of a slap in the face as it was addressed to both of us at my house and I wasn't over it yet. I would have just assumed she sent it to him and been blissfully unaware. It was also a bit awkward for me to have to text her and let her know we'd broken up 6 months ago so only I got the thank you. Probably not a common occurrence though!

I gave out the ones that could be given in person but ones that need to be posted. Are still waiting to be sent. As not really had time.  We will have been married a year. On the 18th of April

I went through the exact same thing. I am terrible with thank you cards. I make a point to thank every one the day of. I sent mine really late. Like almost a year late and some I didn't send at all :( better late than never I guess because some people (especially old ones) really look into that. I also know a friend of mine that never sent them.
