Is my partner going to propose?

He told me he was going to when I was pregnant, then it came up again after I had my little one and he said in a few years, then I was drunk one night and asked, he told me in 5-10 years. I'm so confused and I don't want to get my hopes up. What do you guys think? 😕

I honestly wouldn't expect a lot at that point. He knows it's important to you since you've had the conversation several times and by now he definitely knows whether he wants to spend the rest of his life with YOU.

If I were in your shoes I would come to the conclusion that he's just settling for me and as soon as he finds someone more suitable who he can actually see a future with, he is going to leave me and I'll probably hear the happy news of his new marriage in less than a year.
