Hi ladies, I am 9 days PP and saw a lactation consultant yesterday and she helped me tremendously with our latch. My problem is baby doesn't ever eat enough to empty my breast causing them to get hard and painful by the time our next feeding comes around which then makes it very difficult basically impossible to latch, I went back to the nipple shield last night because after 10 minutes of trying we couldn't get a good latch.   Before I would pump after feeding to empty them for relief but the LC advised I stop doing that to slow down production. How long should it take to regulate/adjust my supply to only what she needs so my breasts will get some relief 😫
