Just checking: Gynecologist

I'm 18 and I have my first ever gynecologist appointment on Friday but I just started my period today (Wednesday) and obviously that's fine right ? I mean they can't judge you or anything. they probably see all different types of things and periods happen .. it's not my fault . lol it takes a lot for something to be awkward to me and I'm pretty comfortable with my area, so I'll most likely adjust quickly to whomever being down there. but just in general what are some tips before my appointment ?
