I hate like 90% of the names I see on glow... But Buzz is actually pretty cool in my opinion. My husbands name is Jettson and he gets compliments ALL the time. Everyone says "oh like The Jetsons? That's so cool!" 
Kids generally don't know what names are common or uncommon, no kid is going to make fun of him until he'd be in like middle school, and even then it's like what can they really say? "Oh look it's buzz light year!" 
Okay... Good one, so hilarious 😒 and then that would be that. Just teach your guy a good come back, or teach him to ignore them it's not a big deal.
There are FAR worse names out there than Buzz! And even with a normal name, kids can pick on you for anything. I was called chipmunk for my chubby cheeks and bushy ponytail.

Ignore these ladies and name your kid what you want.
