Ready to give up BF...am I the only one?!

I'm so ready to give up breastfeeding. I've had 3 clogged ducts in the last week, my boobs are always leaking, and I feel like I'm attached to my pump 24/7. I was producing about 4oz from each boob, but now I'm lucky if I can get 3 out of my left. I just want to quit. I feel horrible for wanting to stop because I feel like since I am able to breastfeed, there's no reason for me to stop. I feel like if I quit I'm failing and not doing what's best for my baby. But, I just hate it. So. Much. Anyone else feeling this way? Please tell me I'm not alone. I don't know what to do. :(

It's not worth it if your unhappy.. You want to look back in the future and say I miss that!  Not I was always sore! I am breast feeding my son but honestly I probably would  not do it again.. I hate pumping I can't stand it it makes me feel sick.. But my son latches easily so I don't have to pump I am a stay at home mom now so I feel better about breast feeding now..

If I were you I would get a can of gentle formula and see if your baby drinks it and maybe try supplamenting back in forth if you aren't ready to quit breast feeding and if you are ready to quit just fully switch over

I felt this same exact way and officially started giving my baby formula this past week. She's doing great. I had a hard time admitting that I wanted to quit it. I know the benefits and everyone promotes breastfeeding so hard. But she would not lAtch for more than a minute so I was using a shield the whole time and it eventually got annoying, when she would unlatch from it it might fall off, milk would get everywhere. It just made feeding her such a hassle. I did it for 2 months. I am proud of myself and I know my baby will be healthy and thrive regardless, as long as she's eating.good luck and don't let anyone pressure u.

I plan to breast feed, and i read some stories where it worked out just when they were about to give up. Find some support groups to talk to like minded women for advice if your heart is set on doing this. Hope this helps.

Please don't feel like a failure if you want to stop... The most important thing is that you're baby is getting fed! It doesn't matter if it's by formula or breast milk as long as your baby is gaining weight like they should br and healthy... Breastfeeding can be hard... I felt the same way about a week ago, but I told my husband don't let me stop since this is our last baby I want to try until I can't take it anymore....
Keep in mind Some breast milk is better than no breast milk at all.. Our first son got Colostrum and that was it (my milk never came in) and he's 6 now, super healthy, and is very smart... My 2yo had to be supplemented with formula at 3mos and he's perfectly healthy also... I'm wanting to get to 6mos with this baby girl, But some days it can be a struggle...
Good Luck in whichever option you choose,  but please don't feel bad about stopping or allow others to make you fel bad.... You're doing a great job!

Don't be discouraged for producing less than you were before: eventually your breast milk gets regulated. It's like supply and demand. I make less out of my left than I do out if my right and they used to be equal. He still gets what he's supposed to get though. If you're miserable, don't feel bad about giving up. It's okay to switch to bottle feeding if you need to.
