Baby will only sleep on my chest?

Question

My baby girl is almost two weeks old and the only place she will fall asleep is on my chest. When my SO is at work and things have to be done around the house it's very frustrating to have a baby who wants nothing but my warmth. I let her sleep on me for as long as possible, but I can't get anything done.
Any advice to get her to sleep somewhere else? We have a rock n play and of course her own crib.

I had my baby boy November 19th, 2015 and I had every intention of him sleeping in his beautiful antique bassinet on the $280 custom mattress we had made for him...well He had other ideas...2 months later I was still "sleeping" on the couch with him on my chest, and when I say "sleeping" I mean he was sleeping not me. I had done some crazy research about sleepers and comforting items we could buy and I kept coming across the ads for Dock A Tot, All I could see was the price tag and it scared me away at first...then I kept reading reviews..."my baby slept through the night", "my baby napped for 3 hours", "he falls asleep on his own when in the Dock", "tummy time is now comforting and fun for my little one", I have a safe alternative for co-sleeping"...etc. well there it was all these crazy reviews how it's changed people's lives and made those first few months at least a breeze with sleeping, so I finally caved and bought my 2 month old a Dock A Tot...omg best purchase ever!!!! First day he napped for over 3 hours in it, I can't tell you how much I got done in that one day. That night he slept for 7 hours straight, I honestly didn't know what to do with myself! Kason is now almost 4 months and the Dock A Tot is his favorite place to sleep besides mommy's chest. With all that said I wish I would've known how much this sleeper would help me in the beginning. I had the same problem I got a moby wrap and she loves it. Only way I can get anything done around the house

Try putting a shirt you've been wearing under her when you lay her in the crib, the scent of you can be soothing to them

My boy will sleep for long periods of time on me. He hates being swaddled. I'm trying to set him down right before he falls asleep. And to talk to him when he starts to stir and rest my hand on his chest. I notice its been helping. I'm reading a book on sleep training right now. So hopefully it'll have some insight.

My daughter is the same way but she will also sleep in her bouncer not sure if it's because she feels like she is being held but she loves it.

I know it's frustrating but if nothing else works, my only advice would be to try and relax and enjoy, maybe ask someone to come over to hold baby while you get some things done. My son was the same way if he wasn't in his swaddle, I would have friends or family come help if I needed it while my husband was at work. But like I said, try to enjoy it cause soon your baby will be independent and won't want to cuddle as much, my son is a year old and he makes me sad when he fights the cuddles.

I would try to swaddle as well. Mine is just over 3 weeks and she sleeps so much better when swaddled.

Get a swaddle me wrap.  just keep puting her down in her crib.  Don't go to her as soon as you here her wimper.
