Cheese????

Hi everyone to my understanding pregnant women can eat cheese as long as its pasteurized right? Anyone know if the soft ricotta cheese is safe to eat?

It's prob safe if you get it from the supermarket. Thus far I haven't found any unpasteurized cheese while shopping. I'm pretty sure it may be illegal in the states but I could be wrong.

If it says it's pasteurized -- it's fine.

Should say on the package or in the ingredients list whether it's pasturized or not, but if you're in the US then you should be fine because almost all the soft cheeses have to be if sold in stores.

Should be safe are you cooking it in something? If so its 100 percent safe but as long as it's pasteurized you're likely fine either way

Soft Goat's cheese here is unpasteurized but all the ricotta I've encountered is
