How long to get a negative HPT after d and c?

Amy • I have been married since 2013, live in Boston with my husband and our dog. Suffered a miscarriage, trying for rainbow ; )
I'm almost 2 weeks from d and c, and still reading a positive pregnancy test. I figured I would do one next week before I have my follow up apt.
