Cloth Diaper VS Disposable Diaper???

Question

I'm interested in Cloth diaper, but I need more info. Like when did you guys started using the cloth? What's the difference between the disposable and cloth? would using cloth going to save $$$?

Cloth has upfront cost but is cheaper in the long run, especially if you can use them for multiple kids. You save even more if you use cloth wipes. There are 5 kinds of cloth diapers and each have their pros and cons. I use pre folds with a cover and it's working well for us. They're easy to wash and dry and are all cotton. I live the no chemicals, less waste aspect and of course saving money and not running to the store in the middle of the night. Make sure to buy a good brand, have a large enough supply, and a wash routine that will work easily for you.

I bought my cloth diapers on Amazon. I have about 36. They were approximate $6 each. A box of diapers at SAMs (pampers)  size 2. $43.00.  Rest of the sizes are about $37.00 (21 cents when they are on sale like this week $3.00 off).

The cloth diapers I have are all in ones with bamboo inserts. They have snaps so you can adjust them as the baby grows. I also bought a few covers and the gerber prefolds.

In the end they are cheaper than regular diapers, especially if you plan on having more than one kid.  I am going to install a spray in our bathroom to make things easier but if you don't want to they also sell liners to catch poop that are flushable. I also make our own wipes here and there, I started when our baby had the nastiest rash that the sores were bleeding. That's when I switched him. I use pampers when we go out though, mostly because i don't want to carry around the traveling wet bag with a poop diaper.

I'm going to start using cloth diapers once my baby is out of newborn. When they're newborn it's harder to find cloth that fit them and they'll be out of them quicker. Cloth is more expensive at first but in the long run (especially if you plan to have more than one child) it is cheaper. You spend about $3000 in a year on disposable, on cloth the max you'll spend in a year normally is less than $1000. Cloth is better because it's just that, cloth. Where as disposables have who knows what chemicals in them and your babies skin is very sensitive so who knows if they'll be allergic to certain disposables.
