Little ones eating habbits...
So flustered.
So as a newborn my little girl was never a big drinker. I was lucky to get her to consume the two times her weight that they recommend. Even at her most she was drinking 24 ounces of formula a day at 4 months. 4 6oz bottles.
As soon as she got the taste for food she started devouring food. She flurished. She would eat 12 ounces of food a day at 4 months, and within a week she stopped drinking all but one or two bottles a day. I use my calorie counting app to put in her food consumption to make sure she is hitting her correct calories.
Me and my doctor are so flustered because the dr. Doesn't really think there should be enough of a taste issue to where my daughter is refusing the formulas. She doesn't think they have that sensative of taste buds. We tried our 12th formula yesterday and my daughter will take one or two sips of a formula and spit it back out if she doesn't like it. We're now also trying and RX to see if it's a reflux issue, and we've been on that for two days and so far the only thing is causes her to have dark bowel movements which is a normal side effect. But she still doesn't want to drink bottles of anything. It is so bad dehydration wise that she is drinking 8 ounces of Pedialyte and day.
Next step is a GI doctor but I'm starting to stress because the formula we tried yesterday if my daughter like that I could hardly afford to buy it for her as is. If the GI doctor starts telling me to try stuff, what happens if I can't afford it? I get it my daughter needs things but my guy is working 2 jobs, I work a 50-hour week, and after bills we are just scraping by. It's just so stressful. And to top it off right after we found out I was pregnant my guys car broke. We spent money fixing it it broke again. We emptied our savings buying him a used car. By the time we saved up a couple thousand dollars this car broke and needed a full new clutch. When you only have a couple thousand dollars to buy a car you end up with these unreliable things. And now we're completely broke again, he doesn't have a working car yet because the shop screwed it up, and my daughter is refusing to drink.
She gained 2 pounds in 4 weeks on solid that how much she is eating. But she still fighting dehydration.
Its also so much stress on my relationship. She wasn't planned and we had not been together long only a few months so it is just hard to balance trying to keep our relationship strong and jobs and a difficult easy one.
