Lifting in pregnancy???

Question

I am 21 wks preg and lifted heavy living room furniture and mattress.. No signs of pain or back strain but hubby has gone mental and now I am worried if the baby is ok???

Anyone experienced lifting or carrying heavy objects ???

If I only lifted 25# I wouldn't have a job lol. I lifted prior to pregnancy & even made a pr in my deadlift when I was 4 weeks along @235#. I lift kids 70# all day long & my baby is fine (15w). Don't stress over it. If you feel different internally call your ob. Otherwise you're most likely good.

You should be fine... But don't make a habit of lifting heavy stuff. Your husband is just concerned....
I can't vacuum, let alone move stuff without getting Braxton hicks!

I put a limit of 20lbs. I'm used to picking up my big cat, but anything heavier than him is a no no

It depends on whether or not your body was used to lifting before. I weightlifted prior to my pregnancy and was doing 100+lbs deadlifts two days ago. No contractions or anything. The 25 lb limit does not apply to everyone. As always, check with your OB.

I don't lift heavy stuff at all. Was given orders by everyone not to lol even my boss won't let me take trash out at night because he thinks it's too heavy for me 😕

I believe the weight limit is 25 lbs.  I wouldn't lift more than that if you can avoid it.  There's more risk of hurting yourself than baby.  My doc said you could herniate a disk in your back and then be on bed rest the remainder of your pregnancy and need surgery after you give birth.
