True Milk

Each year hundreds of thousands of newborn male dairy calves (known as Bobby calves in the industry) are slaughtered as they cannot produce milk and so are considered useless. These calves are only bred to keep their mothers lactating. They are not allowed to drink their mothers milk as this is only harvested for the humans. Many of the females are also killed but some are kept and returned to the herd when they are older and will follow in their mothers footsteps of being constantly impregnated and having their babies stolen. Mother cows cry for days for their stolen and murdered calves. When the cow is exhausted from being constantly impregnated and milked and is no longer producing huge amounts of milk. She is sent to slaughter at a fraction of her age. This is how all dairy industries work all around the world. Please google some videos and see how heart wrenching and unethical this sickening business is. Please stop this madness and choose dairy free products.

There is literally no point in yapping about this. This is all probably not even true. I live on a farm and I drink goats milk. We don't have to keep our goats pregnant to keep them lactating we just have to continue to milk them everyday. We are basically self sufficient. We hunt for our own meat that fills our freezer for months all hormone free. We get our eggs from our chickens. We even make our own soap out of goats milk and we make money sell that soap. Quit bitching and be the change.

since the dairy industry is so big and the demand for dairy is huge, this is sadly true. It sucks to accept the truth. In a farm, it might not be like that. But for companies with dying and diseased cows, they have to constantly have cows reproducing for milk, more female cows(for more dairy), and meat from the male offspring. Unfortunately, mistreated cows don't live forever.

Isn't that the same with cows too? Don't you just have to keep milking them for them to continue lactating? Hell thats even how it is for humans...

Why are y'all attacking a vegan on here? Like they kindly shared some useful information and y'all decide to act like it's the most stupidest thing in the world. If someone is standing up for what they believe in without harming others, who are you to talk down on them like that. Being an activist means sharing what you know for the benefit and protection of others.. it's a selfless act. If you have something to say, be respectful. Don't act like assholes. This is common sense, nobody has to be telling y'all this.

Vegan propaganda? This is a controversy corner topic. I don't drink cows milk but I enjoy cow milk dairy products. I'm sorry the cows are slaughtered but it's not going to stop me from buying ice cream, yogurt, and cheese.

This is not the way small dairies work and the vast majority of those videos you fund in Google are fake, propaganda videos. Get to know a dairy farm owner and learn how things really work before posting your propaganda that no one here wants to read!

Plus, most restaurants and grocery stores don't get their products from small farms. They need their products quick, easy, and in large quantities.

Not all animal cruelty videos come from PETA. Therefore not all videos are fake.. it's the ugly truth about the dairy and meat industry.
