I went in the night of the 11th and was given cytotec to help me dialate. I was 2cm when I started. After the second dose of cytotec I was 3cm and started to have regular contractions. I did not have to start pitocin because the cytotec put me into labor. When the doctor checked me the next morning I was 4cm. He broke my water around 10am. I started having intense contractions. At 12 I finally caved and was given an epidural. It turns out I was 8 cm!! By 1:30 I was fully dilated and by 2 I was pushing. My contractions fizzled down so we had to do a lot of waiting for contractions as I pushed. Our sweet girl was born at 2:54 pm and surprised us all with her weight. She was 8 lb 8 oz and 20in long!
