Hot baths safe?

Hey folks. I love baths but I have been paranoid to take one and when I do it's at a low temperature- not enjoyable. FYI, I have been showering. I was told that I could hurt my baby by taking too hot of a bath. Im not sure what is or isn't too hot though. My temperature threshold is much higher than my fiance's...his showers seems SO cold to me...he says mine are scalding hot. I miss taking baths and letting the steam relax me but do not want to cook my baby! Best way i can describe my bath temp is Awwww that's nice and skin will turn pink. Am I being ridiculous?

I took pretty hot baths with my first. I think the main worry is for hot tubs where the Temps are above 100-105 constantly. I dunno about anyone else's bath water but mine stays hot for a max 5 min and then it's cooling down so I wouldn't worry about a hot bath. I judge it by if you have to ease yourself into the bath it's too hot.

I've been told you can take a hot bath as long as your not sweating! When you start to sweat that water is way to hot! Not sure if it's the same, (I mean why in the hell wouldn't it be? Lol) but when I feel up my fish tank with extra water I put 80 degree water, that 80 degree water is freaking cold! I've even tested warmer water and it's still cold at 100 degrees! That's just my opinion. 😂

I looked all of this up because I heard that too. The wives tale of this comes from a study in the 1930s of women in saunas. It wasn't ever based on baths. Women who raised their core temperatures for more than 30 minutes by more than 2 degrees more than twice per week were at an increased risk of miscarriage of birth defect.

But it all came from a study of saunas in the 1930s...so...take that for what you will

That's too hot then. You don't want your internal temp going above 102 degrees Fahrenheit. Bath water at 100 degrees F is safe, but that sounds like it might be too cool for you.

Not ridiculous at all. I singe my skin and my husbands showers feel like ice cubes. I still take my nightly bath and did with all of my babies. The temperature that is the max they say is 102 degrees. I'm sure you will be fine as long as you don't feel overheated :)

I like my showers and baths hot hot hot. So I chose to not take baths and just take a nice quick hot shower. That way it's fast, still relaxing, and I don't stay in there too long.

I take hot baths. Long as I can get in without hurting, and I'm not sweating I like it. I don't fill it past halfway because of the type of tub I have though. :/ it's pointless to take "warm baths". They don't do shit.
