20 and 21 years olds. Are we too young for a child?

I am 20 and my partner is 21. We have been together just over a year. We both have reliable permanent jobs. We both have our licences and cars. We have just began renting our first home and are planning on buy our home within 6 months. I'm desperate for a baby and my partner says he will give me one. Are we too young?
