What does round ligament pain feel like?

I'm 12 weeks and have been experiencing some cramping occasionally. It's not excruciating and I'm not bleeding... But I still get nervous. I've read that it could be round ligament pain? How would you describe it?

For me, it kinda feels like really bad gas pains. The kind that is sudden and feels like your insides are ripping.

I had really bad round ligament pain with my first. It started around 5 months and it was soo bad that i ended up going to the hospital because i had no idea what it was. It hurt really bad to stand. I'm making it sound horrible, i know. I guess I'm just letting u know that it can hurt a lot so don't freak out. Mine subsided later that night. Haven't had it so bad with each subsequent pregnancy. Probably because my body has already been stretched out.
