Smoking marijuana during pregnancy?

So my sister and I just dicussed this topic, and we are curious of other peoples thoughts. So has anyone smoked during pregnancy? My sister in law smoked pot her entire pregnancy, and smoked cigarettes! I was very confused as to why she continued her habits, worried for my unborn neice. Anyway, the baby came out healthy and happy, and so calm..the ideal newborn baby. Are there risks when smoking pot during pregnancy? What are your thoughts? :) the reason I am asking cause I have known several people who have smoked while pregnant and they said it helped them with morning sickness and eating but it's still odd to me. Personally, I would feel so guilty if I were to do that. Is it a huge risk factor or harmless?

I smoke while being pregnant and feel guilty every time I do. But I've had several episodes of passing out or becoming very weak and my vision get all staticky. I legit feel minutes from dying, it's scary especially when I'm alone most of the day. I have low iron but the pills my doctor prescribed only make me nauseous, which has been a problem my whole pregnancy. I've even tried 3 different meds for my nausea that didn't work either. The only thing that's worked 100% for me is smoking. Yeah it's scares me because I know they're are risks. But I once went 4, almost 5, days without eating and did nothing but dry heave, sleep, and damn near pass out. I'd rather roll up and smoke to feed myself and unborn child than take PRESCRIPTION DRUGS and still not be able to eat anything.

There isn't enough evidence to say you can safely use it but there isn't any evidence showing problems stemming from marijuana use.

So they say better be safe than sorry.

I smoked marijuana my whole pregnancy and my son is as healthy as can be. It helped my morning sickness. If I hadn't smoked marijuana I would not have been able to eat. It also helped with regular pains associated with pregnancy and with my c section pain it also assisted.

For me it works. I fully believe marijuana is a miracle plant and I will smoke it until I'm 6 feet under. However, I do not condone nor promote its use during pregnancy or any other time.

They show traces of having slower learning abilities & behavior problems. It's things that show as the baby gets older not always a missing arm or extra toes kind of thing. Now no that's not for every case but a friend of mine was told that's why her children are the way they are and in my state if they find the abuse of drugs in the babies meconium (medical card or not) CPS gets involved. I think it's wrong if your going to be a parent step up not roll up.

Smoking ANYTHING during pregnancy has proven risks to the health of the baby. That's not a guarantee that the baby will be harmed. That's why it's called a risk. Is it worth it?
