WIC question
I've never had to deal with WIC (thankfully) but my sister in law is currently on it and had a weird experience last month and I was wondering if this was normal (she doesn't have many close friends anymore).
So they weighed her baby who is one month and weighs ten pounds. She was told the baby is fat and she was feeding him too much and to basically put him on a diet. She was very worried as my baby is the same age and much smaller.
I told her the WIC people aren't doctors and can't tell her anything about how to feed her baby. And that ten pounds isn't abnormal for a one month old.
So here's my question, can WIC do that? Can they really tell a mother her baby is too fat?!
