He's in Jail.. do you wait?

Just wanted to ask some ladies if they waited for a man while he was incarcerated. If so how long ? Did you feel like giving up? What was the. Hard part?

I waited for someone for 3 years, longest and hardest 3 years Iv ever had to go through, visits every week not been able to talk on the phone when we wanted, it was awful, he got home leave and everything changed, he changed & we didn't spend any time together. I would say be careful and don't look to far into it , it could all be a waste of time. Good luck x

DONT DO IT, It's a waste of time and money. No matter how much you do they won't appreciate, I was with my ex for 3 years while he was incarcerated. We were best friends for 20yrs and he still cheated so no screw the loyalty and guilt , I don't care I would never do it again, 20k out the window and miles on my car nope not again ohh and not to mention they want favors etc and lawyers to be paid (40grand) waste of money honestly

Long story short i was about 17 dating a boy who was 19 ive known him since i was 15 and all he did was go back and forth to jail...Its not worth it....You can do so much more for yourself then he can do....Its not a good feeling and then if guys are attracted to you and seek intrest in you, You wont know because your trying to hold down somebody whos locked up....Hes gonna write you and call you because he had nothing else to do but sit there and think...And because you may be the only person he talks to he's gonna make it seem like your the only one...When maybe hes just once agian bored in jail....

Sorry if i sounded mean....i just know how it is honey.....You can hold him down if you want....Just do it smartly !

My uncles been in an out of jail my entire life so judging on how that's been no I couldn't wait. It's hard having someone you love in jail. I couldn't imagine it being my husband. Being said it depends on why and how long he's in jail for

My ex went in for a few years almost 5... Before he got imprisoned he cheated on me with multiple women (i didnt find out until after he was incarcerated. He cheated early in the relationship and i forgave him and kept truckin along) after he went to prison and i found out about the other women i at first was not ready to let it go.. I stuck around for 9 months. Visted him every week. Sent him money and sent gift packages. Then idk i guess u cld say the dust settled and i woke up.. I decided i didnt wanna do that anymore. I wanted more.. I wasnt in love, i learned to love him it was not natural... I moved on and i am completely happy where i am now

Well it really depends how strong your relationship is. With my SO I would definitley wait and do everything I can for him. You gotta understand they're having a much rougher time in there then you are. If you really care about him write him, and visit him as much as possible, send him money, and try to always answer his calls. If he's only in jail it really cant be for too long unless hes awaiting to get tranfered to a prison.

I waited for my bf (now husband) for 4 months. He went to jail before we were dating for a month.. He was worth it. We've been together for 3 years, he's the first guy my parents meet, and I have a baby with him. He bought us a house. He bought me my dream car, and he works hard so I can go to college and be a stay home mom. His charges were dismissed because the situation was cleared out.

Depends on why he's in there. Also how long I've been with someone. I would wait for my husband, as long as it wasn't a violent crime (not counting self defense).
