Am i in the wrong?

So my fiancè has a few best mates one being a female which im fine with i actually got on well with her.. A little while ago he made a passing comment saying that if me and his female friend didnt get on then me and him wouldnt be together now.. He said that to me in front of her.. As much as it hurt me i tried to forget about it but cant seem to shake it off.. Tonight she has made me and my fiancè feel abit upset with her words.. so i vouced my opinion about the matter to my fiancè and instead of saying somthing to her hes bitten my head off.. I'm upset that he didnt stand up for me and say anything to her! Am i in the wrong for feeling pissed off or upset? Dont know what to do or think about this
