I feel awful!

I'm just a really friendly person who cares so much about everyone. I feel sometimes like it's a curse. I never meant to hurt anyone. But my co-worker and I were talking a few weeks ago because he's getting married and he simply asked if I knew when was the best time to send out wedding invitations.

Somehow his fiancee interpreted it as me trying to steal her man and getting myself involved with her wedding. I apologized to her and said I didn't mean to cross the line by just telling him the time frame in which wedding invitations should be sent out. And I said to him that they should not leave it to the last minute. She called me a whore and told me to stay away from her man. I felt awful. I didn't mean to cross the line. I was only answering a question 😢 am I terrible?
