My husband said I couldn't get an epidural.

Last night my husband and i were talking as we were laying in bed. He told me he didn't want me to get an epidural when I deliver. I've been considering going all natural, but an epidural is on my list too. I just think it's kind of strange that he told me he didn't want me to get one. He said it's dangerous for the baby and for me. I haven't really heard of cases where bad things have happened, I mean I have, but don't know anyone personally. I guess my question is, is it normal for him to tell me that I can't get an epidural? Did anyone else's husband do that to them, and how did you descide what was best?
